Jeff Janssen

The Missouri Valley CSD Board of Directors marked an important transition during its regular meeting on December 8, honoring outgoing leadership and welcoming newly elected members.

Board President Jeff Janssen presided over his final meeting after 12 years of dedicated service. Fellow board members expressed their appreciation for Janssen’s leadership and his long-standing commitment to students, staff, and the broader school community.

During the meeting, Carrie Watson was sworn in following her re-election to the board, and Jessie Dewaele took the oath of office as a newly elected member. Both begin their terms immediately.

Following the swearing-in ceremonies, the board elected new officers. John Ferris will serve as board president and Watson was selected as vice president.

“We are grateful for Jeff Janssen’s 12 years of dedicated service to our district and the steady leadership he has provided throughout that time,” said Superintendent Christi Gochenour. “We also look forward to working with our newly elected and re-elected board members as we continue advancing opportunities for our students. Strong governance is vital to our success, and we appreciate the commitment each board member brings to Missouri Valley.”

With a new leadership structure in place, the board will continue its regular work as it moves into the new year.
