In 8th grade Language Arts, Mr. Kline’s students have been practicing their persuasive writing skills- culminating in a Mock Trial about a stolen car case. Students wrote opinion pieces based on witness statements, formulated questions for witnesses, wrote opening and closing arguments, and then acted out the trial. Every student had a role- lawyers, witnesses, and jury members.
