Mrs. Straight - First Grade

WELCOME TO MY HOME PAGE
Subjects First Grade
Education . I graduated with my bachelor's degree from Graceland University in 1995. I graduated with my master's degree from Doane College in the spring of 2010. I hope that I am able to pass on to your children, the love for learning, that my parents passed on to me!
Biographical Information I was born in Honduras, CA. I am the youngest of 14 children. I have lived in the United States since I was a baby. I grew up in Lamoni, IA. After college, I married my college sweetheart and moved to Sioux City, IA. I have taught special education in Holstein, IA and I am in my 9th year of teaching 1st grade in Missouri Valley. I live in Dunlap, IA where my husband is the middle school/high school principal. I have 3 terrific children - Morgan, Garrett, and Trevin. I grew up the youngest of 14 children in Lamoni, Iowa. My father finished high school, but my mother did not. Although they weren't able to continue with their education, they made sure their children did. All of my brothers and sisters have gone on to college, and I was the fifth one to complete my master's degree.
