Biographical Information:
I grew up in Marshalltown, Iowa. I'm the oldest of eight children. My Dad still farms there and my Mother is a retired R.N.
After attending Marshalltown Community College I transferred to William Penn College in Oskaloosa, Iowa. My first teaching job was in Logan, where I taught Second grade for several years.
My husband Dave and I have four children. Mike,who is an R.N. in Omaha, our daughter Kelly is also a nurse in Omaha, Blake who is attending college and Emily is in High School. We feel blessed to have been able to raise our children on a farm near Beebeetown close to Dave's family. Another important member of our family is our favorite daughter-in-law Kara.
I "retired" from teaching when our first son was born and stayed home for twenty years. Then, happily I was hired by Missouri Valley School to teach Second grade several years ago and have found my job challenging and rewarding.
