TeamMate Awards
Missouri Valley TeamMates Chapter Awarded for Outstanding Match
TeamMates coordinators, board members, and mentors from over 100 communities across Nebraska, Iowa, and California gathered at the TeamMates Annual Partnership Meeting. Each year the two day meeting brings together the TeamMates leadership for training, guest speakers, and educational session. The meetings are concluded with an awards ceremony celebrating mentoring and preparing to kick off the program for the upcoming school year. TeamMates leadership joined Tom and Nancy Osborne, the co-founders of the program, to revisit the original inspiration for the program.
Each year, outstanding TeamMates matches are honored at the Partnership Meeting. This year, local Missouri Valley match, mentor, Kevin Christensen, and mentee, Justin Krum, were given a special award for their excellence in mentoring.
In addition to the outstanding match award, the Missouri Valley TeamMates Chapter was also awarded with a certificate for the “24 or More Club”. Each year, the goal of the TeamMates program is to have mentors and mentees meet 24 or more times throughout the school year. For the second year in a row, the Missouri Valley Chapter has been inducted into the “24 or More Club” for their continued hard work to meet program standards.
