LISTEN FOR HARD SURFACE ROADS ONLY
Effective Friday, January 22, 2010 for the rest of the year, if weather related announcements on the media and our web site say "Hard Surface Roads Only", it means that we will not be transporting students to school, or home after school, who ride on routes with gravel roads, unless the students live in the city limits.
Students who are not able to get to school when this announcement and procedure go into effect will have excused absences for the day. We may make this announcement when we late start, and possibly on some days that we have school and start on time. If we announce late start and do not say "Hard Surface Roads Only", we will be transporting your students. This can happen when fog or extreme cold, not road conditions, are the reason for the late start.
