FCCLA Donates Books to Media Center
FCCLA members sold suckers at the first football game with the intention of using the total sales to buy books for the middle and high school library. We had set our goal at 24 books and were pleased we exceeded that goal. Linda VanRiper, high school library assistant used the money donated to wisely purchase 46 fiction and non-fiction books from the Scholastic Book Warehouse. The 46 books bought and donated to the library were part of an Iowa Family and Consumer Science project in which schools from each county in Iowa would make a total donation of 100 books within each county to celebrate 100 years of FCS studies in the public schools.
