Student Goals -Gale Renz/Community Living

 

This curriculum is based on Life Centered Career Education Program which is a competency based approach developed by the International Council for Exceptional Children. It is designed so that students in need of life skills development will practice and gain mastery of 20 competencies, as well as 48 related subcompetencies, integral to their success as an adult. These skills are taught, practiced and mastered in a cumulative course of four to six years. Needs of the individuals indicate the length of time needed for mastery of these skills within this program.
