Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA)
HOSA provides students, with interests in the medical field, an opportunity to experience how life is in the medical world. Job shadowing is one thing that many of the HOSA students are offered. They are given the chance to view the medical world with an on hands approach by visiting various locations such as a dental offices, pharmacies, retirement homes, and hospitals. Also the members of HOSA compete at the state and national level in five categories. At each level they are tested on their knowledge in certain areas in the health field and how well they interact with others.
