Class Pets

Get to know the class pets.
We have a couple of pets that live and learn in our 1st grade classroom.
Our first pet is Ned. Ned is a fire belly newt. Ned has been coming to school since November 2003. He is very small and he has no teeth, so he won’t bite anyone. He spends most of his time swimming in his pool and climbing on his rocks. Although Ned looks slimy, he really isn’t. He feels like a wet rubber ball.
Our other pet is Fuzzy. Fuzzy is a hamster. She is very small, but is very nice.
Fuzzy has escaped a few times, but always finds her way back home.
This year will have some new pets, but you’ll have to wait until the first day to find out what they are.
