Booker & Racer...our German Shorthairs.

A Little About Me

by Carrie Kohl

October 10, 2005

I am one of the business teachers at Missouri Valley High School.  The classes that I teach are Business Issues, Computer Applications, Advanced Computer Applications, Office Procedures, Freshmen Seminar and 8th Grade Computers.  I am one of the junior class sponsors and one of the Key Club sponsors.

This is my 7th year teaching at MVHS (9th overall).  Before teaching at MVHS, I taught 2 years at Woodbine High School.  I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Dana College in Blair, Nebraska.  I hope to someday return to school to obtain my Masters in Business Administration or Technology.

My husband, Jason, and I were married in September of 2003.  We live in the country on 8 acres about 5 miles east of Missouri Valley.  We have 2 German shorthairs, Racer and Booker, in which Jason pheasant hunts with.  We also have 1 cat, Smokey, our mice catcher.

Audrie Lynn: 6 months old

Jason and I have one daughter, Audrie Lynn, who was born on January 9, 2007.  She has brown hair and blue eyes and is a very happy baby.  She loves to play peek-a-boo and play in water.

My hobbies include bowling, golfing, and scrapbooking.

Besides teaching, I also do bookkeeping for three companies: a lawyer in Omaha, a farmer/trucker in Missouri Valley, and a garbage company in Woodbine.  My goal someday is to have my own bookkeeping business doing books for several companies.

To contact me, you can email me at ckohl@movalley.k12.ia.us or call the high school office at 642-4149.
